its entirely up to the individual cab driver, but most im afraid not take a dog,why dont you phone your local mini cab firm and book a car, tell them about the dog im sure one of them will accomodate you.

Because we live just outside Brighton...she needs to get to Scotland via train to Victoria, cab to st pancreas, sleeper train to scotland....so it's a question of getting of the train, hailing any cab and going.

Thanks anyway
Google " London Mini Cabs" You will find plenty, book a cab for your short journey, arrange time for pick up and you can jump straight into it. It could be cheaper than a black cab!
all im saying hammer is you could be ages at victoria finding a black cab who will take you.

Yep...thanks m8, it was appreciated.....sorry if it didn't sound that way.

I googled as per tourman's post and it gave some numbers to book a cab. Info now passed on to friend.

Thanks very much
