could be impacted which is very painful could she not contact N H S 24 FOR ADVICE AND DENTIST A S A P
I should tell her to get to the dentist, sounds like something not right.
I had an impacted wisdom tooth and it was agony. I lasted one day and then had to make a dreaded visit to the dentist. He pulled it out - not pleasant - but the relief was fantastic. She really should make time to go to a dentist as soon as possible.

I rang NHS direct and said I thought the tooth might be impacted. They gave me details of an emergency drop-in centre in Evesham but it's only open till 12.30pm and there's no way my sister can get to it in time so in the mean time she's dosing herself up on painkillers (not really doing much) and she's going to try to ring around dentists in the morning to try to get an emergency appointment. I've also told her to take Co-codamol rather than plain old Paracetamol as a better painkiller so fingers crossed it'll take the edge off the pain until she can get to a dentist!
not a great help what about going to nearest A E dept worth a try
you could try oil of cloves think you could get it at a chemist
I had this a couple of weeks back, and the pain lasted for about 5 days- unbearable- but its completely gone now.

For pain relief, she should keep taking mild painkillers, and also 'Orajel' (gel for toothache relief), most likely available over the counter at the drugstore. Tell her to brush and rinse regularly, especially the gums near the wisdom teeth, so there is no risk of infection. And have lots of iced drinks.

rubbish isnt it hope she gets help tomorrow
Baby teething gel can sometimes work. You used to be able to get one with a lignocaine type ingredient, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called, or even if you can still buy it over the counter.
I was in the same situation a few years back and did actually get help from the on-call doctor service over the weekend. I got prescribed some tramadol which was great for the pain but I felt like I was floating around the house!!

i'm in so much pain, my wisdom tooth is growing, someone help me please. My right side of my face feels sore and my right ear is throbbing. I need something that won't make me drowsy because i have exams soon and need to be alert to revise. Does anyone know any pain relief which lasts is strong and doesn't have you drowsy?
Cucumber is among the best ingrediants for wisdom tooth pain alleviation. Cut some cucumbers and place it on the impacted tooth for 15-20 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and subside the pain. Check this: http://www.wisdomteeths.com/wisdom-teeth-pain-relief.html
