Has anybody taken this out? How do you go about it?
Twins run in my family and it was only after my sister in law had her twins that we found there was something called twins insurance. My husband and I are trying for a baby and I would like to know a bit more about this in case I need it!
Thanks in advance.

Thanks sense, I'll have a look there now.
Hi Hellibobs - I'm married to an identical twin (yeah yeah I know ,I've heard everything any of you can say before!) and know a thing or two about them. Are the twins in your family identical or non identical? This is quite important as non identical twins run in families - they are the result of the mothers ability to ovulate more than one egg at a time, this ability is genetic and can be passed from either parent to their child (hence twins 'skipping' a generation if the twins are on the fathers side of the family). Identical twins are not hereditary as they are the result of one egg splitting and this is an occasional quirk of nature. There are non identical twins in my family so if I had had twins it would have been because of me not my husband. We never went down the road of twin insurance and I'm not sure how it works now as multiple births are so much more common but I believe it is quite expensive. I seem to remember you have to take it out now not after you become pregnant.
Why would you want insurance?? Isn`t the joy of having children what it`s all about??
