Good evening, all!

Using the Met Office’s definitions of when each of the four seasons occur, it’s the first day of Spring today. So I hope that you’re all feeling totally full of the joys of Spring!

It was my usual ‘middling’ start for me this week, with a score of FOUR out of seven in the main quiz:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-68436748

That’s a lot better than my dire score of just ONE out of five in the junior quiz though!

Your turn, folks!

3/7 main quiz. Started well and tailed off.

1/5 for junior quiz!

Question Author

Thanks for keeping me company in the junior quiz, Tilly2!

I suspect that we really need the services of a 10-year-old to help us 😀

3 / 7

3 / 5

I have been paying attention this week. But forgot most of it!

Question Author

At least you remembered enough to beat me, anyway, Kwillmott!

Good Evening 😊  Scores 5/7 (incl 2 guesses) and 2/5.  Maybe I should guess more!

'Evening Chris & Kitties,

                               Not too bad: 4/7 & 4/5

Probably because I can't mopve around too much & am spending too much time on the black box.

Off to insist to myself that I am going to do some writing.  Spent ages doing research - anything to put it off!  ☺

3/7

and

1/5

Oh, 🐐🐐 (they sort of look like Deer!

Question Author

Hi, Susan.

Thanks for keeping Tilly2 company - and for giving me someoneto beat too!

I often struggle to work out exactly what certain emojis are meant to represent!

Good evening, Moorea7.

Well done on getting some reasonable scores this week!  (My own scores would have probably been even lower without a few lucky guesses!)

Well done, indeed, Jourdain2!

You're top of the table at the moment!

I hope that the medics will soon restore your mobility but not, of course, at the expense of your quiz scores 😊

Back of the class for me, Chris. 1/7 and 4/5. BTW, who's Hannah Waddingham? 😩

Question Author

I can't really knock an aggregate score of 5, can I, 10CS? 🙂

Who's Hannah Waddingham?  She was the OTT co-presenter of the Eurovision Song Contest last year (among many other things):

4/7 v 4/7

1/5 v 2/5

A snowy St. Davids Day here which is unusual .Shady is fine but sadly Che our collie didn't make it through his illnes and died today aged 15. He was a brilliant sheepdog and will be much missed....

Hope you and your three are all well....😊

Question Author

Well done on edging ahead of me with your quiz scores this week, Haras2.

I'm sad to learn of the passing of Che though.  15 was a good age for a collie but I'm sure that, however old he was, you'll really miss him.

We've not really had any snow here all through the winter and, now that it's Spring (by the Met Office definition, anyway), I hope that we won't be seeing any in the near future.  We've had plenty of rain here though!

I hope that you and Shady will have a lovely week and that you'll be able to remember good times with Che.

Evening Chris.

One of my better weeks !

4/7

3/5

Hope this finds you well  ; ))

Question Author

Well done, Sam!

You're up near to the top of the table at the moment!

I remain "as well as can be expected under the circumstances", thank you!  I hope that you as fit as a fiddle!

Good Evening, Chris!

Thought I was stuck in my usual rut of getting 4's n 3's with a score of 4/7 to start, but then got lovely surprise with 5/5 on the kids quiz.

I can only assume you got your 1 point from the strongman question as you posted on it this week and helped me to score my 5 points! Thank you!

After having rather warm temperatures throughout Feb, which is unusual, today has been much colder and torrential rain poured down in afternoon trapping my mum and I in the factory shop for another hour. Not that we minded too much!!

Wishing you and the kitties a wonderful week ahead :-)

Thank you for sympathy "card"  Buenchico.

Things are a bit quiet here tonight, but a glass or two are being

raised for our absent friend ....🍸

Question Author

^^^ That sounds like an excellent idea to me, Haras2!

Well done with those really good scores, Scorpiojo!

Fantastic, Karamia!  You're out in the lead on your own at the moment!

You could have arranged things better with the weather though.  Getting trapped by the rain in a nice wine bar would surely have been much better than getting stuck in a factory shop 😊

I hope that you'll have a lovely week (hopefully with plenty of sunshine!)

3/7,2/5. Puss Puss is finally getting the hang of the treat ball ( although astonished that he should be expected to exercise to get a treat).Bailey is just profoundly disappointed by it and too bewildered to engage with it. Hope all is good with you and yours

Question Author

Thanks for keeping me company with your aggregate score of 5, Campbellking!

The only 'work' that my lot ever expect to do for a treat is simply to miaow very loudly!  (Moonbeam's doing that right now, despite having had some Dreamies only a short while ago!)

I hope that you, Puss Puss and Bailey will all have a lovely week!
