I have just washed my dog's bedding. Can anyone tell me an effective way to get rid of all the loose hair in my washing machine?

Put the bed into a pillow case before you wash it and use a piece of ribbon or string to tie it up with.

To get rid of the hair already in the machine put your best jumper in to wash it and I can guarantee all the hair will stick to it!

Tilly just google' how to get rid of pet hair in washing machine - loads of suggestions there

Sorry can't do links very easily since the onset of emojis

Use the opportunity to run a cleaning preparation through the machine and kill two birds with one stone.

Or

Pop a whippet in, they'll chase hairs all day I've heard.

Poor whippet!!!

I just put the machine on the clean programme.  I always stick the washed bedding on the line and then in the tumble dryer which gets most of the hair gathered in the filter.  3 cats!!!  The dog doesn't molt.

Lankeela, I did put the bedding into a very fine mesh washbag but the hairs escsped! I'll try a pillow case next time. Thank you for that.

Run the machine on an empty cycle.

wipe the door seal with a damp cloth.

i have started using those machines that you find in car parks etc for the pet's bedding

I take the easy way out.  We've got a local animal feedstore which offers a washing service for horse blankets, pet bedding, etc. I've got no fewer than seven cat beds in with them at the moment (at £4 per bed).

[I don't have washing machine and, understandably, the launderette I use won't allow pet bedding in their machines]

When I  clean my cement mixer out I throw a few halved bricks into it . You could try that 😉
