Quote. How to fall safely if you're over 65. There's a picture of an old man being helped up off the floor because he just didn't fall safely. :O)))

By the way he's not jumped out of a plane, just tripped in the kitchen.

Sounds like a good piece of advice to me

yea.. otherwise you will be stuck in an ambulace if one turns, or stuck in a hospital corridor, or if your really lucky, sat on a chair in a/e maybe all day or night, could be worse, you might not want to live by then.

It is incelredibly difficult to get a fallen oldster off the floor.

I would think its difficult, in fact impossible to teach someone to fall safely, especially when you dont know when you will fall or trip over. Also does it mean you already know at 64. <:0)

This is exactly why I keep a stunt double, frees me up for drinking and general cavorting.

"in fact impossible to teach someone to fall safely, especially when you dont know when you will fall or trip over"

Not so. Often a fall can be a "slow" process and it is certainly possible in some cases to think as you fall

Can't read it I'm afraid.

What a load of poppy cock, as if any 65 plus remember such intructions when tripping up. I see further down the link the pushing of selling vitamins. <:0)

Can anyone make the link readable for me please?

Be my luck to grab hold of the TV when I'm falling.

Thank you so much TCL.  Loads to remember.

I walk with a stoop now.  I think somewhere in the back of my mind is the thought that if I fall I'll go forward and my arms would offer some protection.  Falling backwards and hitting my head could be the last thing I ever did.

I don't have a problem with falling safely or dangerously.

It's the getting up again I can't master.😀

Well this so called expert( another one) seems think they can turn 65 + into rolling paratroopers. Maybe they've overlooked that a big percentage of falls are down to a dizzy spell or other before the fall so any kind of paratroop rolling will go out the window.
