This will be good if it works. Would also be good if they could develop a contraception for stray cats and dogs and other animals that are overpopulated.

Thanks, Minty xx

I love grey squirrels too, Helen, and love watching them feed from the bird feeder. But I do think that their numbers need reducing to give the red squirrels a chance to increase. And it won't be through the culling method which is positve news :o)

And the little *** destroy trees
I know there are many TNR (trap neuter release) programs for stray cats, I'm not sure about stray dogs, which I don't think are a problem in the UK (correct me if I'm wrong)...but certainly are in other countries.
The thing with trapping cats is that after being trapped once, it's almost impossible to do again...they remember. So any type of chemical birth control doesn't sound feasible. All cats that are sold should be already spayed and neutered.
a shame really, they like their nuts . . .
Stray cats and dogs that end up in sanctuaries are neutered though. It's people who want to breed their own pets that are the problem, brining more cats and dogs into an already over populated world with not enough homes to go around.

I'm not sure I agree about this with squirrels, I like the little charmers and wouldn't want to see them obliterated.
