It's 21 June, so it's Suffolk Day again! (We've got some lovely weather for it this year too!)

Time then for our official county anthem once again, I think ;-)

Well I wish you a Happy Suffolk Day, even though I dwell on enemy soil ;0))

Thanks, MissT.

It's a mystery to me as to how you're able to post though. Surely you've not got the internet up there in Norfolk yet, have you? I didn't even know that you'd got electricity!

;-)
Ha ha Chris!!

Two fine counties actually x
And still no motorways in Norfolk!! I dread the day it happens. :O(
Happy Suffolk Day, Chris. I'll raise a glass to you this evening. x

Any old excuse for a drink then, is it, Gness?

[Thanks!]
> it's Suffolk Day again!

Some Suffolking folk think Suffolking what, Suffolking stupid idea ...
Is Suffolk cider country?
Enjoy the day!
A million acres. Pah!

From a Yorkshiremen ;-)
Enjoy your day!
Question Author
>>> Is Suffolk cider country?

Not traditionally. (We're not scrumpy folk, like those down in Somerset).

However Aspall (home of Aspall Cider, which now seems to be sold in almost every pub in the country) is about 12 miles up the road from me.

Having lived in Sheffield for twenty years, ZM, and still having people that I think of as 'family' up there, I consider myself to have 'dual nationality' when it comes to a choice of loyalty between Suffolk and Yorkshire ;-)
Fair enough, Chris. ha ha.
Being a Wimbledon Womble by birth until 15, I call myself a Londoner, but I hate it now. Passed through Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire then we decided to opt out of so called civilisation. It was between North Yorkshire and North Norfolk and we chose the latter but we still love North Yorkshire, and of course, Suffolk. It was the best step we ever made!! I love being a Norfolk dumpling!
Happy Suffolk Day! I was brought up in Stowmarket until I went to university aged 18. I've been in middle England since 1972 and still hate being so far from the seaside. There's something very special about Suffolk.
Happy Suffolk day, Buen. Were you at Ness Point, Lowestoft for the sunrise this morning? That's a great song, for a great county.
Question Author
>>> I love being a Norfolk dumpling!

Does that still apply when the shop assistant calls you that when you're trying on a dress?

;-)
Question Author
>>> I was brought up in Stowmarket

Well I suppose that some poor soul has to be ;-)

(Stowmarket is 4 miles up the road from me but it's not really one of my favourite places in the county).
Question Author
>>> Were you at Ness Point, Lowestoft for the sunrise this morning?

The chances of me being up at sunrise (unless I've not yet gone to bed) are about the same as those of me winning the jackpot in the National Lottery!
Why do you think I only buy clothes on line Chris?! ;0)
A very happy Suffolky day, Buenchico.
Go on, admit it - it's you showing off on the penny whistle :-))
