Basically my partner has been with his company for 15 years and recently had an unannounced health check by health care workers. He passed it all except they said his blood pressure was high. He doesn't normal have a problem with blood pressure but he was stressed at work trying to get his gangs out the yard. Well because he has this blood pressure reading they took his keys away from him. He can still work but being chauffeured around? His GP took his blood pressure said there is no reason for you not to be driving. The company have taken him off call so his losing £700 a month but three holding out not letting him driver I've company vehicles. He was told this morning and we don't know if other true hence this question lol do they have to still pay him for call out as his been doing it 15 years straight or can they just cut that? Its financially killing him with them dragging it out.

Of course they can stop the oncall payment if he is no longer on call.
Is there anything in his contract about what might happen if an employee has the health issue you describe? Maybe your partner's GP could write a letter to the effect that he has no on-going blood pressure problem. Failing that, I would get him to contact his union a.s.a.p.
he needs to ask for an occupational health assessment independent to GP etc..there are agencies around the UK that do this officially..his union rep is the first port of call..and No..if he is not on call he will not be paid that element..
