i know you can get many foodstuffs and more from years ago, but what delighted you as a child, young person.
Rice Cremola - they don't make it any more.


Horses, the Family, amongst other things, ran a Riding Stables.
Fond memories.

Countryside and the beach
board games. Gkids visited on Sunday and hardly spoke beyond grunts.
I can't think of anything I miss besides people.
they were busy on cell phones :(

conversation with the family round the table with no kids, grand kids or adults for that matter nattering on mobile phones.

me too, and Jimmy Clitheroe, sunday night play and more besides.
Skirt tucked in knickers catching sticklebacks in a jam jar in Middlebrook (local waterway by the rail track) as the trains went by and we waved as the driver tooted.
Not having to cook , do the washing up - do the laundry - cut the grass - do the shopping - work for my folding ........
I wouldn't allow phones at my dinner table.

Excitement. I used to get so excited in the run up to holidays, Christmas, birthdays, days out, panto, treats.

Whilst I still look forward to and enjoy these things I no longer feel excited for days beforehand.

ummm i had the displeasure of giving a family and friend party where one of the party took calls all through the meal,
she wasn't invited again
The joy at not having to wear liberty bodices any more, or the weekly dose of castor oil (to keep you regular). I liked Virol though.
Sadly, my Mum and dad who have been gone these last 20 years.

I miss us all sitting around the tea table together and I miss the magic of Xmas morning. Our family has never really been the same since they passed away.

Sorry...that came out more maudlin that I intended.
