Is Farage looking a bit silly by wanting to be our third man?

// Nigel Farage has attacked Theresa May's refusal to use him as a go-between with US President-elect Donald Trump as "nonsense".

The interim Ukip leader, who was the first British politician to meet the controversial tycoon since his election success, said "petty personal differences" should be set aside.

Number 10 dismissed suggestions that the Ukip leader might become the "third person" in the relationship between Mr Trump and the Prime Minister, insisting that the Government already has "well-established" channels of communication. //

The problem is Government is mainly made up of career politicians who have no idea of a real job let alone business. Trump is a businessman, Farage is too with The Donalds ear. He should have no influence in any negotiations but he should be used as a conduit for the Government. To reject him out right is the stupidest arrogance I have seen in some time. But then May...

I heard you the first time.
Two birds of the same feathered right wing. I'm officially embarrassed for this Country and the more space we can create between Trump and the panting/drooling lap dog Farage the better.
Farage as The Third Man?

Well, maybe he could audition Wilfred Hyde-Whyte's roll as crabbin
hving never liked him, as his manner makes my skin crawl,i was surprised that when he ws interviewed on bbc 1 this morning, he didnt make it crwl, what he ws saying also made a lot of sense.
"Well, maybe he could audition Wilfred Hyde-Whyte's roll as crabbin"

Or Assad and Puting as the 4th and 5th Stooges.

Trump, Farage and Johnson in the same room. What could possibly go wrong?
Or Putin as he's also known as.
"Trump, Farage and Johnson in the same room. What could possibly go wrong? "

Aah the old "Trifecta of evil" Haven't seen that combo since Blair, Bush senior and Bush jnr and we all saw how that turned out.
Look how silly Trump looked (and still does)
And what happened to him?!
What worries me more is how silly Britain looks. First we chuck in the EU and how there's a bloke who is soon not even going to lead a party with one MP (who hates him) whom most foreign viewers will last have seen breaking up his brawling infants in Brussels. Nigel may be feeling that he needs the attention, it the best thing the government can do is ignore. Except they cannot because it seems that a few members of the cabinet are on his side
Gromit > Trump, Farage and Johnson in the same room. What could possibly go wrong?

Just in time for the nativity play. The 'Three Wise Men' bringing 'bold, commonsense and murmer'.
Farage must learn that he isn't as important as he thinks he is....nowhere near as important. He is the interim Leader ( again) of a minor political Party that has carried out its one and only policy and the Party is struggling to keep itself together. His arrogance is breathtaking. Farage is yesterdays man.

There is no need whatsoever for a "Third Man" The foreign Office, under Boris can and will do all the work that is needed.

I am with Mrs May here....I applaud her stance of this issue.....let those "well-established channels" proceed as normal.
agchristie....a line in Mrs Browns Boy comes to mind her ::

Three Wise Men ?

Wise !

They got fecking lost !
the three wise men were said to have been white, brown and black. No orange ones.
Lol Mikey.

They didn't have satnavs in those days though!
It's possible to interpret Nige's statement - as he does - as "I'm only trying to help ..." - but anyone who knows anything about politics and politicians knows that the basic premise to any behaviour by any politician is either to obtain, or if obtained, to increase - power.

That is what politics is all about, and always will be.

So Nige is laughing because his bessie mate is now Numero Uno, and Nige can cock a snook at the government, and say "You're not laughing at me now are you, not when you need me, hah hah!!!"

Mrs May's reaction translates as - "Nigel, I would eat every one of my wonderful shoes before I would admit that I need you for anything other than occasional casual amusement on a bad day."

Which is pretty much what he probably expected, still, it passes the time.
Andy...all this business is about one thing and one thing only......the further aggrandisement of a politician who doesn't have a job anymore.
The government doesn't need Farage. And the man himself is probably smart enough to see that. He's just having a bit of a gloat and probably after a job. I don't blame him. Given a choice between running UKIP and being paid a fortune by Trump to do nothing much it's a no brainer really.
As much as I do actually like Nigel Farage (I won't abbreviate to NF again as on another thread everyone thought I was saying National Front) I think he should just wind his neck in a bit and see what happens.

He would probably be better off trying to get a job with Trump as one of his special advisers.
