I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. It's a two hour drive away. it'll be a nice drive though.
I listen to the cricket in the courtyard every night. It's incessant critching accompanied by the monotonous ticking of my clocks gently lull me into realm of Morpheus.

Leather on willow old chap
I loved the sound of the crickets/cicadas when in Canada. The hummingbirds too, so beautiful!

I will be reading more if my new book tomorrow and hopefully sitting out some paperwork so I am free to meet a friend for coffee/lunch on Sunday, hoping on a Sunday roast in a pub.
Whats that, DN?
Not that the hummingbirds made any noise unless close enough to hear their wings'!
I painted a 50cc syringe red, it attracts them, and filled it with honey and water mixture. They would come and feed from it in my hand, eventually, hovering right next to my face...Amazing!
Oh wow, of love to see that! A house I visited had a special feeder so got to see some on that, beautiful things! Was also excited to see a chipmunk and eventually tracked done Racoons!

Sorry Daisy, am digressing on your thread.
Apologies for spelling errors, on my phone in bed in the dark!!
The meaning of "Leather on willow..." finally hit me: leather ball hits willow bat. Well. I'm not used to that kind of cricket am I?:)

Sitting in the sun watching 11 men come in whilst a different 11 try to get them out. Reverse process. Usually twice.
Stop companionably for lunch, tea and occasional drinks.
Spread this out over five days, broken by rain or bad light.
Wow you have got a busy day planned! For me I am spending the day with my elderly dad and my 6yr old granddaughter.
I hope that they paint the wickets so that you can watch it dry whilst staring at the other activities:)

Eve, be my guest
Stuey, perhaps, one day...
Stuey, that's an indefensible slur against the great game. Watching paint dry! As if!

I watch Stuart Broad with a great deal of interest.
Question Author
I just enjoy watching Stuart Broad
Great minds, Daisy. He's lovely, isn't he?
I like one day matches and 20/20's but those 5 day tests are boring!
Sorry, Tilly. I suppose it was really a silly mid on thing to say:)
Question Author
Yes Tilly. Alastair is when he shaves.
