Yes, I have. Not easy reading but I did enjoy it.
I read it at school - a serious, serious hard slog.

Have never been able to face the theatrical production ...
No & I havent seen the musical or the latest film either. Too miserable
No - never appealed to me, not seen it on stage either, and I'm unlikely to go to the film.
Christ, no.
I received it as a French prize at age 13 or 14, and finally read it aged 20 - took me about 6 weeks, but I've since reread it a few times.
It has become my all-time favourite book.
Many years ago we went to a show in Birmingham (tickets bought by daughter) it was based on (I think) a tale of two cities but I can't remember the title. At the interval we went for a drink, I asked oh if he was enjoying it, not likely he said, I agreed so we left. It was a really miserable, depressing show so have neverk fancied Les Mis, and have not read the book either.

First read it at school, many years ago and found it hard going. Since then I've reread it and enjoyed it. It's like many of the books from that era theycan be hard to get into but well worth sticking with.
I've read it several times and love it. I don't remember it being particularly hard going though.
it's one of those books that give you more every time you read them. I'd say, give it a try.
