I noticed that on a recent thread I posted a particular word (in this case the word pregnancy) which was coloured and underlined, I press on this word and a page entitled 'Visitor's Survey' popped up.

Is this new feature now being introduced by AnswerBank?

No, that is a browser add-on which has snuck itself into your PC!

I suggest posting a question about it in tech to get detailed answers of how to remove it.

Can you remind us which browser you use?
Test - pregnancy. Not coloured or underlined for me, AOG (but the word coloured is underlined, presumably because of some US spell checker)
I think AOG uses firefox and from previous posts has a fairly good idea of which extensions he normally has installed.

So, AOG, just have a look though your installed extensions and if you see any new ones disable them to start with, if that removes the advertising links then you can remove that extension totally.
ive the same thing, its really annoying. im usign firefox version 15.01
Not getting it on Chrome.
Same as then, fluffy

Press CTRL+SHIFT+A to bring up the add-on page in firefox, click on the extensions on the left hand side and have a look down the extensions to see if anything looks likely to cause it...

Although if it's happening on some sites only then it can be the site doing it, but if it's happening on AB then it's a browser extension.
Is it coloured and underlined in red or blue Fluffy ?
Good point ^

If it's underlined in red then it's just your bad spelling :)

Thank you for all your answers, yes I am using a very old version of firefox 14.0.1, and I am on MS Vista, and the word is underlined and in blue.

It cannot be anything I have recently done because it is on a laptop that I haven't used in weeks, and it wasn't like that the last time I used it.

I will take your advise and look in my Add-Ons, although I am at odds to know why it has suddenly appeared.
It may do nothing to overcome your problem, but it'll Not do any harm.

Click open Firefox 'Help' then go down the menu to 'About Firefox'. You can then update your Browser from that point and, during the process, Firefox should check that your 'Add-ons' are compatible with your Browser.
