I know there is mortgage insurance that covers job loss, available to home owners but I believe that only covers paying the mortgage off if you do happen to lose your job. Is there such an insurance cover where you get everything you would earn from your job if you were to lose it?

i.e If i were to earn say £1300 a month, and I lost my job would there be any insurance cover that pays that until you find another job?

Thanks in advance

There's one called Contribution Based Job Seekers Allowance
... sorry, that only pays around £300 a month- I didn't spot that you wanted full pay.
I doubt it's available- insurers would find it very difficult to quantify the risk and set premiums and I think it would be very prone to fraud
you used to be able to get income protection insurasnce
I don't think the mortgage insurance pays off your mortgage if you lose your job it just puts your monthly payments on hold; that's how I've understood it anyway.
The MIP paid my monthly mortgage payments when I was unable to work, thankfully.

I don't know of any insurance policy that would guarantee your income if you lost your job.
I have a policy that pays me 75% of my income should I be unable to work.

I have claimed on this policy and have been paid it for the last 6 or 7 years - it tops up my Incapacity Benefit and Civil Service Pension.

I seriously doubt, alas, if any company would have such a beneficial policy these days. I took my policy out at least 20 years ago.
