Cod allergy

Aftern being taken to hospital twice, the second time lucky to be alive, I found out I have an allergy to cod!!! This is despite eating it for many years with no problem. I have not eaten it for some time and have had no problems. My concern is could I be affected by other food products such as Soy Sauce. Anyone else with this problem?
prev Any harm in having eaten the plastic skin on a franfurter?

No I do not suffer from your problem.

Fish allergy is not that common and the basic problem is a hypersensitivity reaction to "Fish Protein."

In answer to you question, I would have thought that you stand no greater chance of being allergic to other foods,than if you didn't have a fish allergy.

Are you sure it's the cod and not the batter or the breadcrumbs ?
