Have been sitting here for about an hour, and cannot even begin to think of something that would help me find out where this place (the country) is. Could anyone help, please ....
"The history of Britain branced out in a nfew direction ofter dramatic news reached this country One of its big money spinners will help to mark the event, and they'll be toasting it in the 19th hole, in an appropriately named resort in the capital. A green gemstone found here cou ld be the date's crowning glory! Name the country.

The pictures are: (a) a sprawling building with a red roof, that looks sort of like a golf club premises, (b) a stork sitting atop a green leafy tree (c) a pair of hands cupped to hold some green unpolished gemstones (?emeralds), and a close in a ?nursery, showing some blue roses.

Many thanks in advance, Chox.

Mny thanks both, think I'm going to go for Kenya, appreciate your help this morning. Chox.
The golf course building is definatley the Windsor Golf and Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya (just google it). I found pictures that show it's the same. Queen was in Kenya (Treetops) when informed of her fathers death. Haven't solved the tulips/flowers yet but might just be referring to the country club.
So Nairobi in Kenya
