What happened to my avg 9 removal tool?

Tired of using avg9, I decided to uninstall avg 9 this morning. But unfortunately, when I operated the avg 9 removal tool, it didn’t work! It got frozen, and my windows couldn’t move which forced me to restart my pc. What happened to my avg 9 removal tool? Can someone give me some good ideas? Thanks.
