Is the Moorcroft pottery 'Phoenix' design especially rare or is it just that it wasn't very popular?
I have a squat/ovoid vase in this design and can't find it on any website (apart from Millers, which I would have to register with), although I have found a 'bud' vase in the design.
Many thanks

Does this mean you want to buy more? or value what you already have?
There's one on eBay at the moment for £222 but it may not be the same design as yours. I've googled but as you say, not many sites will tell you how much an item realises at auction. I've got a fairly recent Millers Collectibles guide on my bookshelf but this design isn't mentioned.

My husband chose it as a wedding present (£260) and I have since bought him two smaller pieces in a different design. I think he would like it valued as a guide to buying other pieces. His ultimate goal is to buy something from a charity shop that turns out to be worth thousands!
I collect old sci-fi books and gargoyles!
There are quite a few picture here and there on the internet, but I don't know if they are what you are looking for. Here's one vase...

Thank you, that's very similar but ours has a shorter neck. I have looked on the website of the dealer we got it from but he has nothing in that design now either. Will take photos of it and ask when we're next at antique shops. May be extremely rare or worth nothing!
