They've done this to death now, what do they hope to prove? What possible action could come from this? If they sling him in Jail then great but I can't see that happenning so what's the point?

I just like to see him sweat.....
Some kind of justice. To discredit those who are suspected of bending the truth etc... As if Tony would ever see the inside of a prison cell!
he's a slippery eel is Tone, he'll slither out of the Chilcot Enquiry, no messing!
He'll slither out alright, but he'll be sweating as he slithers and slivers. Hopefully.
he-he I have now a vision of Tone coming under the door of the building, flat, like you see in the Tom and Jerry cartoons, with splashes of sweat jumping off him

In the mean time we are paying a grand an hour to some p0ncy lawyers to stretch the whole thing out for as long a possible!
Tony Blair is obliged to tell the truth, the whol truth and nothing but the truth ... unless of course he doesn't feel like it ...
people want answers Geezer, like the parents of those who perished in Tony's War

yes I understand, he's already been grilled once, is he going to say anything different?
Depends if the questions are different or they take a different angle. Would be funny to see him hit with a question he cant answer!
I dont see the point.

If he really had done something terrible it would be out and he would be banged up.

This is just another wast of money. Totally pointless
I suppose there is an argument that if his new "grilling" is likely to change the original outcome and would shift the whole focus of the thing, then it is perhaps justified. But what has changed beyond a reasonable doubt that didnt stick the first time around?
The public wanted....indeed DEMANDED an enquiry.

I dont blame the lawyers for "stringing" it out.....I would ....Wouldn´t you?

Nice little earner demanded by the public.

Problem is....Lord Goldsmith is disputing the ex Prime Minister´s version of the legality of war..........that`s it.
youngmafbog - where do you get 'if' from!

Tont Blair entered into an illegal war on the basis of dodgy, and since disproved intelligence in order to satisfy his need for approfval from the reptilian warmonger Bush.

Both have since walked away, leaving the deaths ongoing, and no real positive outcome in sight.

The fact that he is not 'banged up' is due in part to his breatless ability to spin, lie and otherwise worm his way out of his responsibilities, coupled with the fact that too many other involved parties have a vested intererest in this whole sorry business being buried as soon as possible.

Do you actually read the papers and / or watch the news?

It's yer staple phrase of the ignorant but the war was not illegal, it was covered by previous UN resolutions, not that UN resolutions mean anything particularly. Legal/Illigal are meaningless anyway in this context.

I'm amazed at how so many friends Saddam Hussain has on the left and I thought it was only Gorgious George!
How can we get a genuine public enquiry when we are not allowed to see the communications that pasted between Blair and Bush?

As in all these enquiries it will be a total whitewash costing us thousands.
Agree with AOG - this is becoming a habit!

Am I becoming more reactionary, or are you mellowing - either way we seem to be meeting in the middle more than ever we used to!
Ups, surprising no one spotted this one.

pasted should be passed.
I'm sorry - I don't understand your post AOG - could you expand for me please?
He is pointing out a spelling mistake in his post at 12:02
