She claims to be able to turn gay men straight via counselling, and agrees that homosexuality as "a mental illness, an addiction and antireligious phenomenon”.

However...if a gay man or woman is genuinely unhappy being gay and wants to seek counselling for a 'cure', shouldn't they have the option?

Or is this reinforcing the idea that homosexuality is a mental illness and that all people are really heterosexual underneath?

Actually, I mentioned 'any and all evidence to the contrary'.............
I cannot believe the amount of smokescreens being put up here. I challenged anyone to come up with reasons why unnatural sexual acts are deemed by some to be "natural", and so far, all that's happened is that other pixels are attacking me for asking for grown up answers.

Birds of a feather, eh?

grown up *questions*
Homosexual behaviour is evident in many species if that is a definition of 'natural'

However I think it's a foolish premise.

ETY: if you condemn homosexuality because it is 'un-natural, I assume you also condemn airtravel and people being fitted with pacemakers.

So, there is documented obvservations of homosexual behaviour in animals, which I believe goes some way to support the view that it's a naturally occurring phenomenon.

In your court.

Just thought of something - following ETY's premise, does ALL sex which doesn't directly lead to procreation unnatural?

Cunnilingus? Fellatio? They fall under the same banner too, don't they ETY?
Ha, ha, this gets better. Now the poster of the thread provides a link about why animals are homosexual. Sorry, I'm waiting for someone, as requested, to tell me why human homosexual activity is deemed "natural", i.e a man inserting his penis into another man's bum? What exactly is "natural" about that?

Steady, ETY.........

For someone so grossed out at the thoughts of it all..............you obviously spend a lot of time thinking about it all............
see when i think of homosexuality, i think of love and companionship between same sex partners. sex is as incidental as it is for heterosexuals.

you are thinkking too much about what goes on in the bed.
Zeuhl, yet another incapable of answering my request, who instead goes off at a tangent about flying? Sad, sad, sad individuals on here.

Yet another "binned" post?

Did you not follow the Wiki Link I posted at 15:58?

Nar Eye...I think the Ed likes to leave posts that makes the poster look like an ignorant fool :-)
ETY

Do you have any idea what you actually mean by 'natural'? Which definition of the word are you working with here?

would this be close?
existing in or formed by nature ( opposed to artificial)
based on the state of things in nature; constituted by nature

in which case, if people (and other species) can 'do it' without artificial aids and have 'done it' for millenia - then it is not un-natural is it?

Just an aspect of nature you dislike.
.
My post at 15:27 is the most relevant of mine. Still awaiting anyone to address it.

You see, slagging me off will do no good, except, of course, make some of you feel good about yourselves in a perverse way?

Please stop acting like politicians and either come up with an adult answer - or??? (I think you know the rest?).
As humans are animals and homosexuality is also apparent in other areas of the 'animal kingdom' it would appear to be more natural than you give credit.

Is that simple enough for you- ETY ?
"I am yet to be convinced that sexual acts between homosexuals is "natural"."

ok, fine. whatever.
