There is currently a broadcast on CNN promoting the Chilean miners which is a bit insensitive considering what has recently happened in New Zealand, do you think those families care to much at the moment about other peoples luck stories.

Why should they? Would you mourn if any of my relatives died - or vice versa? Of course not. Life goes on.
yes ''life goes on''...but does that mean that we should be insensitive to other peoples grief??..eyethenkyew if 1 of your family was involved in a national tragedy [and i hope that they are not]...do you think that people would not mourn your loss?? of course they would obviously not as deeply as you for that is a personal loss but they would still feel sympathy...but ''life goes on''....there for the grace of god go you and i...and millions of other people...
