Global Warming Fascism – 10:10

Has anyone seen this video?
It's an 'hilarious' short film (directed by Richard Curtis no less) that suggests that anyone not prepared to cut their carbon footprint or anyone who doesn't agree with the Global Warming agenda, should be... well... murdered.
Many of the promoters of this video have subsequently tried to distance themselves from it. Once you have watched it, you'll understand why. It's quite tricky to find as YouTube keep taking it down but the link below still works at the present time (scroll down the page to the video link).

Never a fan of Richard Curtis and the drivel he has inflicted on us, I found this neither thought provoking or effective in conveying its intended message.
I would much rather see the Vicar of Dibley or Hugh Grant reduced into a gorey mess.

I thought it was a bit ironic personally and slightly funny but it really didn't hit the mark with me in any direction and I'm used to copping it from people because I'm not anywhere near convinced about the whole huge money earner that is global warming, more of a long carbon cycle man myself:)
As for the video, no idea why there is a fuss, and it's clearly not meant to be taken seriously and once you google it it's everywhere so I don't think anyone's even trying to suppress it, just a bit of a non event..

I think some people on here have missed the point.
The video is not a spoof or taking the p**s out of the doom-mongers. The high production values are evident – clearly, this is not a 'cheap' video.
It is making the making the case that if you don't believe in man-made climate change then you are a legitimate target for just about anything. It has been seriously suggested in some European countries that climate change 'denial' should be a crime on a par with Holocaust denial. The modern day thought police are truly flexing their muscles. This video is evidence of that mentality.
As for the claim that no one is trying to suppress the video, as Ludwig points out, if you go to the 10:10 website you won't find the video there. Strange that a video made for the 10:10 campaign fails to appear on their own website - http://www.1010global.org/uk
Sony, one of the major backers of the 10:10 campaign, want nothing to do with the video...
http://presscentre.so...eID=6249&NewsAreaId=2
and many other backers of the campaign have condemned it too.
The video was clearly a very expensive shot in the foot made by people who want to tell you what to think. If the roles were reversed (ie. the video showed those who believe in man-made climate change being blown up by the 'deniers') I wonder if some people on here would be quite so blasé about it?

..I agree with what you've said by the way birdie. It's an attempt at humour which inadvertently betrays the mindset behind it - 'Look, If you're one of those people who still isn't on message, who still isn't thinking the kind of things we'd like you to be thinking after all our attempts at persuasion, then we pretty much would like to see you exterminated'.
