Who cares how Moat died?
Moat killed and injured innocent people. He himself is now dead. Why bother the expense of a media circus trial coupled with years keeping him locked up in luxury. Case closed surely.

moats ex girlfriend has blood on her hands with the web of lies she spun,she knew he was a volatile person so she wound him up i feel sorry for the guy he shot dead and the policeman he maimed as a result of her lies,she tipped him over the edge and has ruined countless lives in the process...ohhh and swelled her own bank account by selling her story to a sunday ''newspaper''....she will soon be out on the town drinking and partying as if nothing ever happened..and countless of peoples lives have been wrecked by her lies.dont anyone say she was scared of him so she made up the story that she was going out with a policeman because that just inflamed his fury further because she knew he hated the police anyway..she taunted this lunatic and pulled the right strings to send him on his final,violent ending and signed his death certificate with her lies....
There have been many reports in the press stating that Moat knew full well that his ex girlfriend's new fella was not a policeman before he shot him. There were numerous phone calls between Moat and the ex before he turned up at the address where he attacked them.
She has no 'blood on her hands' as stoke stated. That is like saying that a woman who wears a short skirt is asking to be raped. She cannot be held responsible for the actions of that mad man.

I heard very early on that she'd told Moat her new boyfriend was a policeman because she was terrified of Moat, and thought if the man was a policeman that would make him think twice. The story has obviously changed as the weeks have unfolded - she either lied because she was very afraid, or because it would wind him up. Who knows which is was, I wouldn't want to be in her shoes either way.
She did initially tell Moat the new fella was a policeman, she stuck to that story out of fear of Moat... she thought it would keep him away from her when he got out of prison. The day of the murder and attacks he phoned her several times and in one of those phone calls he told her he had done some research on the new boyfriend and knew she had lied about his job. This has been corroborated by one of Moats friends.
Moat is dead and the world is better for it. The tragedy is the others who were hurt or killed on the way.
Only an idiot would suggest that she lied about the boyfriend being a policeman with the intent to push him over the edge. And a bigger idiot to lay the blame for what he did on her.

you call me an idiot beso?? the only idiot is the girl who inflamed the situation by her web of lies...so who do YOU blame then??..i guess its moat who in fact pleaded for physciatric help to help him with his hatred of the police so are you saying she did not know of this?? only an idiot would say that she did not know what she was saying...yes she said it to allegedly scare him off but all it did was enrage him she KNEW he hated the police..so why did she bait him?? the fact is that because of her lies moat is dead and he deserves to be,an innocent guy is dead who does not deserve to be and a policeman is blinded and disfigured for life... and this was all instigated because of her lies now is that true or not???
I do not care that Moat is dead, the world is probably a better place without him. I do care however, if he was killed by the police. That may not have happened, and I hope it didn't, but IF it did, then I am concerned.
You cannot have a situation where the Police can dispatch someone without any judicial process. That is what happens in third world countries, not in the UK. It may be an innocent person next time or someone you know.
Mistakes were made, that has been admitted. The police used a weapon they hadn't trained with and was not yet authorised for use on UK streets (though, apparently there was a loophole that it's use wasn't illegal).
This is the first time this shotgun mounted Tazer has been used, and it has resulted in a death. We need to know what happened before this weapons is used again on the public.

If she really knew what sort of a man he was . How come she ended up in hospital herself.
Saw her boyfriend killed and the PC injured for life.
For that matter why go out with a known criminal and thug in the first place ?
There is one good thing which has come out of affair , he's dead , which will improve the lives of many people in the future who would have suffered at his hands.
Of course there are those who will mourn him including a few police haters among our ABs.

modeller, you do know that she was only 15 when she started seeing Moat don't you? They were pushed together (so to speak) by her mother who used to take her out clubbing in Newcastle and the surrounding areas when she was far too young. I don't think the poor young woman had any idea about 'normal' relationships thanks to the way she was brought up.

i am amazed at how people can blame her...people all over the world, split up, lie to their partners, have affairs, deceive etc...this does not entitle anyone upset by it to go on a killing spree....grown ups get over it...
i dont care if she had had sex with this man in front of moat...its does not make what he did 'understandable'.
sure, she shouldnt have lied but theres no way she could have known what he would do...i expect she thought the threat of a policeman would make him leave her alone - i can see that logic.
i believe she was angry and terrified of him and sick to death of dealing with him...so made this up in the hope getting rid of him - and no doubt hurting his feelings too - just as he had clearly hurt her, and if he'd done all that stuff to me i'd want to hurt his feelings too...i'd want him to suffer just as he'd made me suffer.

the man was utter scum, and the world is better off without...if it hadnt been this, no doubt some other ridiculous upset would have set him off...
