Will the absence, through injury, of German Captain Michael Ballack work against the German Football Machine today - because of the Germans extreme youth and lack of Leadership ? Or will the Germans turn out to be a load of Ballacks - i.e. an entire team of Leaders ?

Anyway, we should be really up for the challenge today - with no excuses.

Come on England……. and nevermind the Ballacks !

XRay "Perhaps over 80 might be a good idea"

yes, we should try everything - things can only get better ?
>The players are mostly to blame.

Why?

Most of these players play in teams who use 4-5-1 (Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool) and Capello plays them as 4-4-2.

Rooney has played as the lone striker for Man U all season and now finds himself playing behind Heskey or Defoe.

Gerrard loves playing just behind the striker (behind Torres for example), but here finds himself out on the left wing.

Sound like if anyone is to blame it is the manager.
I agree vhg
Give David Beckham a chance, if he would take it i think he has the passion and love of England to build a team worthy of wearing the England shirt.

x-ray "I am available.... and I speak English"

You'e hired - but only for £6 a week due to the recession !
Just seen your post old dutch. Italy have offered me £7 a week, France could only come to £5. I now have to decide on what offer to take.
I think Roy Hodgson or Harry Rednapp would be better suited to the England job and probably wouldn't want the £6 million we have been paying.
I believe they also speak and understand English
