Is Obama anti British ? He is making a lot of anti-BP remarks . Which is stirring up anti British demonstrations, boycott and damage to BP petrol stations. There are pictures in the US of the Union Jack being trampled on .
The strange thing is 95% of BPs oil comes from Texas and the US bank Chase Morgan own 25% of BPs. shares. The UK own 33% the remainder is owned throughtout the world especially Kuwait an ally of the US.
So why is Obama stressing the British involvement ?

...and the main c0ckup was by transOcean, an American outfit!
Because if he doesn't blame us and get his country to do the same, all the racist bigots in the south will blame him for it because they never wanted a black president in the first place.
Yes I think he's looking to shift any of the blame away from any american involvement, so he's stressing BP's britishness.
I think that that the fixing should take precedence over the blaming.

Having read Abherrant's link I think my question should be re-worded to:
" Is Obama hostile to Britain ? " and the answer is pretty obviously . Yes !
But why ? I think we should re-consider our attitude to the US.
Obama's father was/is Kenyan.
The anti-British feeling seems to stem from the British colonial treatment of the Kenyans; Mau-mau uprisings, etc.
