The president of Germany has resigned for suggesting that the army could reasonably be deployed to protect German business interest.

Even allowing for spin, it's unusual for politicians to make such ill advised unguarded statements.

lol poodie, if they had lost maybe he might have resigned in disgust. No-one here gives a toss that we came LAST. We weren't that bad.
