Surely any political party would be foolish not to block someone who said their only reason in applying to join them, was for the sole purpose in bringing them down?

This is not discrimination, it's common sense.

Not often I find myself agreeing with AOG. I seem to remember that the RSPCA defended in court the right to reject potential members when their aim was to undermine the goals of the organisation.

Nope - he was turned down because he stated that his only purpose in joining was to undermine the party.
Let me make this clear: I am 100% anti-BNP and I'm all for people joining with the sole aim of undermining it. But you don't do that by telling them in advance what your intentions are. Just imagine an undercover cop: "Hello Mr Big, I'd like to join your gang so that I can work against you and put you in jail" Der...

That's not how it's done ELVIS. The easiest method is to just crap on the ground and then pick the turd up afterwards and post it through. That's where you've been going wrong.
Seriously, what rojash said. The guy has totally shot himself in the foot by announcing up front to the world that the only reason he wants to join the party is to destroy it from within.
He's therefore handed them on a plate a perfectly legitimate reason for them to bar his entry. He didn't think it through properly.
