Does one feel sorry for this hypocrite who shed crocodile tears over the death of his baby daughter.

Normally I would say yes for a person in these circumstances, but in his case, not one bit.

This is the man who sends young men & women to their deaths almost on a daily basis, without showing the same emotion.

Totaly agree Ludgwig.
Yes, that's what I said about crocodile tears ludwig - very wrong & not at all nice! ;o/
I think is disgraceful and cynical.

Gordon's loss was awful, and tragic, and the nation felt for him.

But he hasn't mentioned it publicly until ...

... 3 months before the General Election !! Tah Daaah ... what a surprise.

To cynically use the devastating loss of a child to court public sympathy, in the hope of retaining power, shows him to be a disgraceful low life.

If he is truly in such emotional turmoil, he should withdraw from public office.
Well done AOG. Your best return on posts for weeks.

Shame that 90% of posters think your comment was an absolute disgrace.

Should we feel sorry for Brown?

Definitely not.

He doesn't feel sorry for the lads and lasses in the war zones and neither does he feel sorry for the financial situation the country finds itself in now.
I feel sorry for him for losing his child but I felt more for his wife whose face said "I can`t believe you are saying this on such a cr@p tv show"
I for once agree with jj......I feel terribly sorry for any parent who has lost a child and I thank god that has never happened to me......the timing of this however is very suspect.
There are very few things worse than burying a wee one and I still think on the sight of the wee white coffin ma niece was buried in when she was only a few days old. Although he comes across as dour, he is still a father who held his daughter as she died and whatever the reasons for the timing of the show, the emotion he showed was genuine. As an uncle, I experienced only a fraction of what ma sister and Gordon Brown have gone through and I hope those who think it was an act or was calculated, never have to experience it.

I can't believe so many people think that talking about the death of his child was calculated or contrived. Nice to see you TLC (I know its 'TCL' really) How are you?

Sorry to hear about your niece TCL - always so heartbreaking for all concerned.

My best friend lost three beautiful children to a cruel & eventually debilitating syndrome which attacked the nervous system.

Going to each of their funerals a couple of years apart & seeing those small white coffins will stay with me forever....
I'm fine LL thanks for asking, what like are you?
Jesus, that's a bit over the mark Meat-_Loaf!
