Halal and kosher butchers still have to abide by the law of the land concerning humane methods and cruelty to animals.

All animals in UK are stunned (electrocuted) before the jugular is cut. They're hung by rear legs for blood to flow. The difference with kosher is the collectors religious practice.....am told they pray over the corpses.
