Now that the United states of Europe is pretty well up and running..
Do you think they'll be able to get a set of audited accounts signed off after 14 years of trying?

The auditors have always declared EU counts to be reliable
Fraud is estimated at 0.09% of the total budget

I wonder what percentage of the DHSS budget is fraudulently claimed!
And they are persuing prosecutions for fraud against MEPs like Tom Wise who was a member of...wait for it
UKIP!!!

EU Budget for 2008 was 116.5 billion euros.
http://ec.europa.eu/budget/index_en.htm
Or to give such a massive figure it's proper due, it looks like this...
116,500,000,000 euros.
So if fraud accounts for a 'petty' 0.09%, that's 104,850,000 euros.
So approximately, 105 million euros, in one year... but the accounts have not been
signed off for 12 years... assuming a similar figure for each year, that figure now
stands at 1.26 billion euros.
Over 1 billion euros have 'not been accounted for' which translates into English as 'stolen'.
Anyone who thinks this is not a significant amount of money to disappear must have very
deep pockets indeed.
