Many British Muslims strongly disapprove of Britain's struggle against the Taliban.
Are they being disloyal to the UK which has given many of them refuge?
Or are they right to feel affinity to fellow Muslims?

Or put it another way a lot of British muslims disapprove of Britain participating in a foreign war and making a big fuss of dead soldiers and glossing over the thousands of civillians that are being killed in the cross-fire

I suppose if I were a muslim you'd put me in that bunch.

Did it occur to you that these might be people like me and thousands of others who opposed the war and just happen to be muslims?

As for the affinity felt to fellow muslims - weren't we pretty glad that the US felt enough affinity to US 65 years ago?

Or is that different?

Jake....he's not talking about people like me and you. He's talking about people that were born here, educated here, earned(!) a living here and then went and killed the people that are employed to protect the very country that gave them an upbringing.
BTW just to clarify.

Disapproving of your countries actions including war is quite OK , protesting is OK- it's called democracy.

Attending training camps abroad or taking direct action is not
Feel free to call it misguided or justified.

But is it really disloyal to disagree with government policy? That sounds a bit scary. George W Bush tried to tar opponents with that brush just after 9/11. Hence the 'Patriot Act'.
The poll does not ask if they strongly disapprove or not. And the results are disapproving of the Taleban rather than in favour

It asks whether Britain and the US should be in Afghanistan. The majority say no, as would be the case it you asked the whole of the population.

I don't see how not being in favour of a pointless war in which many young British soldiers are needlessly dying is disloyal.
Early Brit muslims were not poisoned by imams in mosques.

Because of the spread of mosques and their indoctrination of young muslims, and imams propoganda, muslim lads are forced to join the Taliban.
Jake, 65 years ago I don't think it was that much about the US having an affinity with the UK, they were quite happy to take the isolationist stance. I think it had a lot more to do with their Pacific Fleet being sunk by the Japanese.
dont approve of it here?

dont let me keep you,

and take your pathetic religions with you.
I wonder how many non-muslims do not want our troops in Afghanistan?
Kinell, my sentiments exactly.
