Lawyers- what is a media lawyer in the UK

Okay, my parents want me to be a solicitor, I want to work in the media. How many combinations can combine the two, so I have a creative side to my work? Is this a realistic option...

Although media law is often a subject in itself found in law schools, I've not yet met a self titled media lawyer. Rather, you would be a lawyer within a firm that has a seat (i.e. works) in intellectual property. Often, smaller firms specialise in working for clients or certain companies which may mean more work in licencing of X, defending X's reputation/goods.
I don't know which firms work for who (often companies often involved in litigation have a firm they always use), but I'm sure some googling will help.
For example, I have a friend who has a masters in Fine Art, and now works for Farrah & Co., who are the Queen's solicitors. Thus, she's a lawyer, but is mostly employed in the field of art.
