No idea, but did anyone else have a giggle at this comment?

I gave him a very clear instruction after that interview - one more squeak like that and he will have the whip taken away from him

No? Just me then?
Well I'm a Tory but I can say without shadow of a doubt he's an olympic standard J. Arthur!
Yes he is arrogant, and no he shouldn't have said what he did.

But it is true.

Every newspaper editor or presenter on TV is on a bigger salary than most MPs.

Any accountant worth his salt would tell you to swap you main domicile for capital gains tax purposes when selling a second home.

Most newspapers are happy to pay for a MP to write a column but then think it is disgusting that they have more than one job.

Who can put their hand on their heart and say, if the opportunity arose, that you could perfectly legally claim for a load of things, you would not claim for them.
>Who can put their hand on their heart and say, if the >opportunity arose, that you could perfectly legally claim for >a load of things, you would not claim for them.

So that makes it alright does it.

Just because some other people would do it it is OK that the MPs did it.
Yeah far enough, vic, let he who is withot sin cast the first stone and all that, I think we'd all take what exes we are allowed. I thin the system needs a lot of tightening up. Gawd you ain't an MP are you Vic?
Like most people I have got very angry with the MPs abuse of the system.

However some of the rubbish this idiot has said has made me even more angry.

He says we are jealous of his big house.

Nobody is jealous of his big house, only that he claimed "expenses" to have work done that the rest of us have to EARN (and pay taxes on) before we can have it done.

I agree that MPs should earn a better basic salary, and if they had done this a few years ago we would not have had this mess now.

They are their own worse enemies.
I hate Gordon Brown and Labour and would love to see them out of office at the next election.

However twits like this person make me VERY reluctant to vote Tory.

I think Cameron knows that people wont vote Tory if they fell it is full of upper class twits like this, which is why he has got so angry with him.

Cameron has worked hard in the last few years to try to change the image of the Tory party, but these revelations of the last few weeks has made us all realise some of these Tory MPs live on a different planet.

So who to vote for in the June 4th elections becomes more difficult.
You mean as opposed to upper class twits like this?

Come on VHG this is the most blue blodded Tory front Bench for decades.

I think the statement he made that caused me to laugh the most was the comment that it was all Gordon Brown and Labours fault, introducing the Freedom of Information act and that it put him on the wrong foot :)
The best advertisement for Labour ever.
Be honest Jake, how depressing is it to find out that all the Labour MPs are just as greedy, self serving and arrogant as the upper class twits you despise so much.
..one thing you can say for those twits, at least they look after their own don't they? Your boys can't wait to get up there with them and start thieving from the little people first chance they get.
let me know when you first spot a Labour MP claiming on his moat, ludwig - my guess is still some generations away. (And when it happens, it'll be a Mandelson.)
What are you saying jno, that it's somehow better to steal to buy hanging baskets and televisions than it is to buy a duck house or clean a moat. I don't see your point.
ludwig, you said "Your boys can't wait to get up there with them". I say you will have to wait. (And do I think it's better to steal for a hanging basket than a moat? Oddly enough, yes. It costs less.)
Does it cost less? I think Margaret Beckett claimed about 6000 for those baskets. That's alot of baskets. Perhaps they go all the way around her moat.
Your'e trying to defend the indefensible, which just looks foolish.
