hi guys and gals,
re virgin broadband,
Many of you out there getting lengthy disconnections in the midlands area?Had two this month 24 and 36 hrs both on the weekend just when you want to use it!
Those nice people at the indian call centres say they have credited my account for 30 quid.I am getting to know them quite well, might ask for a curry recipe next time.Anybody know how to contact Richard Branson so I can give him a rocket before he goes into orbit?, thanks

hi jones, I live in Sussex and have been having virgin broadband trouble all week and been getting nowhere with the call centre. Had to get a computer expert in to help, and, touch wood, it seems ok today but will just have to wait and see. Frustrating isn't it? Good luck.

Thanks for replying janbee,my faults were network problems,if you get same I have been told by indian people every time you have disconnection, demand credit on your bill.Maybe if everybody does this Virgin will sort shambles out.
thanks for the info jones. I'll contact Virgin for, HOPEFULLY, some sort of refund.
I have Virgin broadband, and think it is just about better than being hit with a stick, but then most UK providers seem to offer an equally poor service.
I've been with Virgin ever since they took over Telewest, and I have lost broadband only once, for half an hour.
Excellent service.
I`ve been with Virgin for two years, and not had a problem yet.
I've been with Virgin a couple of years and service has been wobbly since they 'upgraded' before Christmas. A week's outage, and since then frequent hiccups, usually in the evening but at other times too, when the screen slows to a crawl and then suddenly picks up again. (It seems to happen quite a lot on AB, I might add.) So I am thinking about whether it is worth sticking with them.
"It seems to happen quite a lot on AB"
I think thats more likely to be a problem with AB, rather than Virgin.

Indian call centre workers ask me what other software i have installed and then bolloxs me with " That is your probleming sir you must uninstalling mozilla firefoxs it not work with Virgins Broadbandings"
Or in another phone call they told me " That is your probleming sir you must uninstalling AVG anti virusing it not work with Virgins Broadbandings
Or when it took me 5 minutes just to get to google homepage from a safe mode network test " But sir , you are onlines that proving your connectiongs workings"
Why are you guys getting Indian call centres.

I always talk to someone in the North West of England - and no charge for the call.
Yes but it's easier to understand an Indian than a Manc -ey ooop chuck!
