no f**cking way
They shouldn't, but they will.
No it would be dangerous surely?
Hope it's flame resistant !
I've never given their uniform a second's thought. It makes absolutely no difference to me what it looks like and, as far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesn't impair their ability to do their job, they can change it to any design for any reason.

I couldn't give less of a monkey's. And anyone who says they do is either petty, simple or faking outrage because they've seen the word Muslim.

The floor length dress would I imagine be something of a problem.
Come on people! The article clearly states that this is not a fire fighting uniform. It is something to be worn in the station. No one is saying that fire fighters are going to turn up in skirts.

Get a grip.
No.

That's ridiculous. But then if muslims offer to first flames in that...let them.
Even so birdie, this is In England, live here, work here and abide the rules, the fire service shouldn`t have to deal with religion............. join in or fook off!
they can then sue for being given non fire retardent uniforms ;)
Look at todays date!!

You're kidding right???

I hope then that if, God forbid, your house catches light, refuse help from any Muslim until they change their name to Jack Smith, buy a labrador, install Sky Sports and learn the words to Gercha by Chas & Dave.
is this a description of a typical British male then?

Jack Smith, ......... has labrador,.......has Sky Sports ........ and says Gercha.

?????????????????????????????/
No I`m not kidding, the fire service isn`t there for religious freaks to turn up in their fancy dress outfits

If they want to put out fires wearing that sh!te, do it back home
If they wish to go into a fire wearing dangerous clothing that is up to them. But any would be rescuer should have a Health and Safety manual to read before rushing to the rescue.
what? ....^
i don't think it is up to them what they wear.
they read this manual just before the rescue do they?

So birdie what are you saying, they are just crashing out around the station in their comfy scarf & long gown. Then wham bang the alert goes to attend a fire, they will have time to slip out of their casuals and put on their fire suits.

Get a grip.

As long as they put my fire out, I don't care if they are wearing a pink tutu and feathers in their hair.

Look at today's date!!

The article was dated 31st March, even so do you seriously think one could make an 'April Fool' out of a Muslim?

They would soon class it as racist, you know they are easily offended.
