Her solicitor Nigel Angel said: "The songs were included without Dame Vera's permission.

What has this got to do with Dame Vera? She doesn't own the rights to this song?

Excuse the duplication, this is Answer Bank playing up again. Posted the original, but it did not appear so I did it again.

I think she is just registering her distaste at her most famous recording beinghi-jacked by a bunch of right-wing racist bigots - surely the reason why the world wars were fought in the first place was to stop just that sort of occurance.

I am sure she appreciates that she has no legal rights, but feels that her moral rights have been infringed - surely something you understand - you spend enough time on here pointing it out when you think Muslims and foreigners are doing the same - more often than not no legal infringement there either, but you get enraged on a daily basis.

No need to get so nasty, why are all you so caring leftys so rude? Why can't you just enter into debate without the need to be personal.

surely the reason why the world wars were fought in the first place was to stop just that sort of occurance.

I didn't know that the world wars were fought because someone hi-jacked some song or other.

But there you go, it is only to be expected when you get your information from Wikipedia.

Maybe Dame Vera will chuck herself off some white cliffs in protest? Stranger things have happened!! Like....whhhh....errrr....mmmm......tsk, tsk, tsk.........
I didn't feel that i was being rude - simply pointing out the situation as I see it. However, if my observations gave offence, please accept my sincere apologies.

I am not a 'caring lefty' in the faintly abusive sense that you mean it - surely you would not want to castigate me for being rude by being rude in return, would you?
Having seen the track list I think it's actually quite a good album...

andy, thanks for the apology.

So pleased to hear you are not a 'caring lefty'.

It was just Dame Vera's pompous attitude i.e. 'The songs were included without Dame Vera's permission, that prompted me to post in the first instance.

Since I didn't find anything to offend in my post, I therefore just didn't expect such a curt reply from you, in the first instance
