Well I don't think Gordon's several thousand pounds down after challenging people to defraud his bank account!

Who's the idiot?

What next? Chris Moyles calling people fat?
He's a Racist at least!
Whats the difference between the Thatcher incident and this? Nothing IMO, both racism.
Whatever your political opinions are, it is unacceptable to mock someone for their disability!
But this is typical of the neanderthal by trying to get headlines by being controversial.
Why are people so sensitive? I don't particularly like Clarkson - in my opinion he's a Yorkshire-born, public school educated Tory, but he only told the truth about our wonderful PM - he has only one eye, he is Scottish and he most certainly is an idiot.
>Well I don't think Gordon's several thousand pounds >down after challenging people to defraud his bank >account!

For those that dont remember this, Clarkson said that all this identity theft was a load of rubbish, and to prove it he published his bank details in his newspaper column.

Lo and behold somone set up a standing order on his bank account (500 a month I think) to go to a charity.

Good job Brown isn't black or Clarkson would be in trouble.
VHG

That has to be the funniest thing I've ever read.

I think Clarkson and Thatcher Jnr should be given their own six part series called 'It's PC Gone Mad'. Each week, they could examine an area of life where 'PC has gone mad' (sex discrimination, racial discrimination, health and safety etc).

Blimey, it writes itself!!
This really is a load of rot

Would any one here be sticking up for Thatcher if she'd used the word N1gger ot Y1d?

Any one?

Even you AOG?

No.

So all this stuff about the context and whether it was a private conversation is absolute rubbish.

It's just another excuse for BBC bashing lead by certain papers who's owners have TV news interests and all the "PC gone mad" sheep are bleating to order again

So would it be acceptable to say that "Dame Tanni Grey Thompson is a stupid Welsh Spastic"
Clarkson, and I'll brook no argument here, is the funniest writer wrting today.

If you are of a Toynbee persuasion you may not like what he has to say, but it would be an extremely humorless person not to admit, even grudgingly, that he is funny.

Take the following from from one of his Sunday Times columns;

"What makes Pooh engage even today apart from the genius of the writing and the joy of the illustrations is that the stories are so exquisitely simple. It was Eeyores birthday. Pooh felt he should have a present. Piglet surely the most unpleasant character in fiction since Judas Iscariot decided to get there first so hed be credited with the idea. He fell over. The present exploded. He got his comeuppance. The end."

Now whilst the above isn't funny per se, in my opinion it has just about one of the best 'throwaway' lines I've ever read Piglet - surely the most unpleasant character in fiction since Judas Iscariat

Superb.

As far as his comments are concerned, he is perfectly entitled to that opinion.

On the same day the BBC News talked about Black cab drivers. What's the colour of the Driver got to do with anything ? The BBC should be sacked. Clarkson is a *******.
I can't stand Clarkson. I've known people like him and I find him arrogant and boorish.

However, I have to say hand on heart that his line about truckers ("You've got to change... check mirror and murder a prostitute.") made me laugh out loud.

Afterwards, I felt dirty and used...and not in the good way.
The funniest writer writing today is Charlie Brooker.

Clarkson does come out with funny stuff though. No question.
I think Clarkson is excellent - having said that I am Yorkshire born and possibly public school educated. A lot of people don't like him because he is straight talking and doesn't dress things up in a nice long-winded PC manner.
Truth hurts!

Actually, I think the reason that a lot of people don't like him is because he has Leo Sayer's old hairstyle and the fact that he can make a 105 pair of jeans look like something he got from a skip.
I wish people who got offened so easy would all move to Bridgend and hang around there, god i hate those people, the offended not the people of Bridgend. It's never the people who it's about that gets offended, it's always some middle class tw4t with nothing else to do but to impress people with thier compassion for everything regardless of logic, compassion without logic is as much use as a fireman with a wooden leg. Imagin winning WWII again with this bunch of d1ckheads amongst us, it wouldn't happen, they would be worried about the rights of Hitler and the effect of the climate by flying spitfires.
On the same day the BBC News talked about Black cab drivers.

This isn't so daft as it sounds.

Last night they were discussing the protest in London regarding the Black Cab Drivers v The Mini Cabs.

Someone phoned the studio and asked the presenter not to call them Black Cab Drivers but Drivers of Black cabs.

For the rest of the programe the presenter kept correcting himself when he slipped up and called them Black Cab Drivers.

I give up, where are we going? Soon they will be telling us to change the name of 'The Black Country'
