1) (for women!) - have regular smear tests. today's news happens every day lots of women.
2) check your smoke alarms work.
3) wear a seatbelt in the car.
4) consider whether you need a proper carbon monoxide alarm.

oh! I'm not sure how to respond to that ;o)

check your shoes for dog poo if you have a new carpet
Get your blood pressure checked, particularly after a weekends viewing on here.

Put knickers on before you leave the house (particularly if its not your own house)

2. My husband checks the smoke alarms regularly
3. We always wear seat belts
4. We have a CM detector plugged in the living room.

I do all of above too. But know someone that was saved by not wearing his seat belt
if you havnt got smoke alarms or are not sure if they are adequate then call your local firestation (number in book, dont call 999) and ask if they can do a home survey.
They will often fit alarms free of charge too

I have a CM alarm, Jayne. the boiler is in my son's bedroom and it would worry me otherwise.
