The insult was aimed at someone because they oppose homosexuality and muslims. Similar views to yourself AOG, but I would not say ar*ehole was approprate choice of words to describe yourself.

It was only supposed to be a light hearted jibe at the insult word.

Even when i make no particular comment, I still seem to offend, perhaps I should resign my membership on Answer Bank, and join another blog where one can choose to have a laugh or enter into a serious debate.

Actually there's a very serious point here.

This man has effectively tendered his resignation when he did this and he must have known it at the time.

You can only guess at the exaperation that must have been behind such an act.

It's symptomatic of the huge rift that's been building up for years between traditionalists and liberlas in the church of England.

With regard to the other question on the establlishment of the chuch of England it begins to beg the question of exactly which church of England is actually established!
