No, they all record their take on the song, the winner's one is the one released.

I loved her version of the song, but not enough for me to vote for her to win.
What those involved with the program know is how many votes each contestant is receiving. Louis has said "you don't seem to connect with the public" when speaking about Austin and then Laura, and they each went out that week.
It looks like Diana and the Leprechaun are getting the most votes and the "best" productions, but since nobody outside Ireland is going to vote for the latter, it's Diana's competition to win.
That's the second time I've read (possibly by you yourself?) that a whole nation will vote for someone just because they come from the same Country.

You must think we're all morons.

If you pay money to vote for any of them, then perhaps you are.
Shades of the Peter Kay spoof here I think. I suspect that was more realistic than people thought.
I have always watched X Factor right from the first show and really enjoyed it, but I am very disillusioned now. I have not liked Diana from the start, she is very limited and her gargling and hand movements are laughable. I am afraid now though that she will win, if she does then I shall not be watching any more. I think Alexandria or JLS should win now as they are the only ones left worth listening to. Finally the young Irish lad who's name I cannot spell but means Owen, well all I can say is that if he was turned upside down he would make a good toilet brush.
I'm sure that from this week the voting will be down to the public only and not the 'Judges'. I may be wrong, (it has been known, last time was April 1987) but I'm sure at the end of Sat programme Dermot Whatshisname said it was down to the public alone as from this week.
Not that I have an awful lot of faith in that either. Just save your hard earned money and don't bother. If it's a foregone conclusion why waste your time???
Does anybody else's throat feel strangled in sympathy when the blonde lass "sings"?
She murders the notes and ends each one with a high pitched flourish.
Is it just the quirkiness that's keeping her in?
Cos it's not vocal ability.....
I too am wondering what the public see in Diana. She is very quirky, but also very annoying with the hand gestures and the yodelling, I either go out the room when she is on or put my fingers in my ears as my partner thinks she is great (although he does not want her to win). Also each week I am wondering if I am hearing the same performance as the judges when they give Eoghan a standing ovation for murdering the song chosen for him!!
I can only think that he is getting the granny vote and the 12 or 13 year olds who all fancy him.
I also agree with BigDave's comments, it is obvious that the judges know who is leading the public vote as they seem to be very astute about who is in danger each week and who is definately going to stay!
I am getting more and more cynical about this programme, it seems that the judges get more hysterical each time. This week we had Dani in tears over the fact that Louis thought she had stolen JLS's song, it seems that she had first choice and had picked it for Rachel fairly, but there was no need to cry over it!
I don't like Diana's voice!

I HATe the "squeal" she does at the end of EVERY verse plus the "hand thing" she continually does!

I reckon that JLS or Alexandra Burke will win!
Sue, I think most of us 'granny' generation don't like Eoghaanananan either!! He certainlyh doesn't even have the 'aaah' factor that us oldies are meant to go for (and don't).

Austin should have won!!
After last week, I think Ruth should win. She was amazing (and I didn't like her at first)

Alexandra has a good voice but is totally boring. JLS are quite good, but not exceptional.

However, I think Diana will win.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh!!!!!!!!!!!
Lakitu

Dont you remember a few years ago when the big Fatty Michelle Mcmanus won one of these talent shows?

Because she was scottish and all of Scotland kept voting for her

thats how a tv programme like this works

dohhhhh

thats why john sergeant had to quit the dancing

or hed have won

diana is absolute crap

comin to a bargain bucket near you

soooner than she thinks
Ruth should win.
Diana will win,

I knows it, I have inside knowledge.
alexandra willl and should win

far and above the best singer
I love that Hallelujah song it was sung in Shrek. jeez id say the other contestant are rattling with fury!
I agree that Diana will most likely win but Alexandra or JLS should win they are the best singers!

Diana gets on my T!TS putting her hands up. Should be interesting to see who goes on Saturday night!
I agree with the view that Diana will win, although Simon stated that he was worried for her one week, if he has inside information, perhaps we could guess that she is not as popular as we think?
Sorry LoftyLottie, I was aware that I was generalising when I stated that grannies and youngsters would vote for Eoghan! I am sure there are lots of 12 and 13 year olds who don't like him either!
I would like Alexandra or JLS to win as I feel that Alexandra has the best voice and JLS are very professional and likeable although not such great voices, I would not be surprised if the toilet brush took it either!!
