Why is there so much religious hatred in the World? Why can't people respect and accept each others beliefs? Is it too much to ask for?

Afghanistan is a country at war, and some of it's inhabitants think it is a country under armed occupation. To go there under a Christian banner, even though it was an aid agency, carries an element of risk. She was a brave woman for going there to help her fellow man, and just like the her murders, she probably did so under the belief that she will get her reward in heaven.
Yes....it is too much to ask!

It's naive and stupid of her to have entered a war-zone expecting her 'foreigness' to protect her.

Afganistan is more about drug yields than religion.

yep it's anolther belter from the religion of peace. I am gratefull there are people willing to risk all just trying to help. I just think though that they are naively wasting their time, those infected with Islam are beyond help. They cannot tolerate anyone who does not adhere to their disgusting deviant religion. Just pull out of these sh1t holes and let the scum kill each other.
The Taliban were the people behind 9/11. I don't know why geezer wants to pull out and let them grow again, considering he shows as much 'religious hatred' as anyone. Maybe he'd just rather run than fight?
I'm not relious at all jno, I don't kill people because they disagree with my version of some fairy tale. Just pull out and toast what's left.
Morning RIgeezer.

Totally agree with what you say, even if you are a bum driver.

Did anyone spot any contradiction? I guess not.
Well done R1. Now look what you did.
You woke up keyplus.
She was killed by two men on a motor bike according to the Beeb.
Did they stop to ask her if she was a christian first?
Probably not, but she was very white with ginger hair. She would have stuck out like a sore thumb so it was probably her colour which was the deciding factor here rather than her religion.
But still it would seem it's any excuse with the Taliban.
A up pops Keyplus that emissary for the religion of peace.-

1) What contradiction he never said he would toast them.

2) How in any way or form can you justify what was done in the name of Allah yesterday.
Tigerlily Makes sense. But let me say one more thing. Even bright color and ginger hair might not be a problem (it may be) as a good number of people in those tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan do look like white European until they speak.
How in any way or can you justify what was done in the name of Allah yesterday.
Did any one ask that woman before shooting if she was Christian, or did any one stop and checked with the people on the motor bike who killed her if they were Muslims and if they killed her for being Christian.

Or may be it is another story for Islamophobes, otherwise if you are against innocent people being killed then there are so many at so many places in the world, so condemn all of them.

Or if you only are worried about Christians then these are Christians too. And they are surely being killed only for being Christians.

Or finally perhaps that's India so you are not interested.
What was done in the name of Allah yesterday?
As ever you are selective in what you reply to and what you wish to talk about.

Two days ago you were asking what about the the "innocents" of Pakistan and how the terrible west was attacking them.

Yesterday the Taliban shot a Christian woman who was aiding the disable of Iran. A statement issued by the Taliban said she was shot because she was promoting christian ideals against the teaching s of Allah.

So abnswer the f*****g question Mr "defender of the innocent"

Howin any way or form can you defend what was done in the name of Allah yesterday.
Iraq
well keyplus, I suppose I was really responding to jno who accused me of "running" and in doing so allowing to the Taleban to flourish. My response really is that if we must control this vermin then we should not put ourselves in danger and we should control them from the air as best we can. For a start I cannot understand why we don't just spray all their poppy fields with agent orange to stop the Taliban drug production.

So keyplus, do you support the Taliban? would you like to see them return to power in afganistan?
Who says they are the teachings of Allah or God.
It's just one mans words as opposed to the words of many men and women in the bible.
None can be said to be the word of God.
It can all be taken any way you like and often is.
The only thing the old testement and the Quran seem to be more interested in killing any opposition which would say it was rather the word of man than the word of God.
You cannot come to any firm conclusions on the subject unless you look at all aspects of it.
I'm not telling any one who does not wish to look to go and do so. It is up to the individaul.
The thing is the men that killed her was of a mind that everything that does not conform to Islam must be bad without even looking behind her actions. And whats more he must have got off the bike to ask her what she was doing.
If this was the case I would doubt she would have said 'I'm telling this man about christianity'. She would have told them she was trying to help the man.
This leads me to the question 'do the people of Islam only help themselves'?
If this is the case, and this is the teachings of Mohammed, then me thinks the man is pulling a fast one and leading the people down the worng path.

Aid workers are a target in Afghanistan. There have been 300 attacks this year and over 30 killed. Often, they are seen as helping or spying for the occupiers. Whether that is true or not, NGOs are in danger. Christian Aid (or the other relief agencies) were not invited to go to Afghanistan, they chose to go there.

In this latest case, the woman was killed because she worked for a foreign NGO. When it was reported she worked for Christian Aid, the Taleban (who are claiming responsibility) then said it was because she was a christian. There is no evidence that when she was killed, they knew she was a Christian, and it is more likely that they only found out themselves from press reports.

Needless to say, we didn't make a fuss when it was Koreans or Japanese or Germans being killed, but for some reason we prefer to believe the Taleban's pathetic excuses in this case.
I'm not a "religious" person for the sole reason that "religion" is the root cause of most wars............. I was taught as a youngster to treat others as I would wish to be treated myself but sadly this doesn't always work!
Unfortunatly the ones that get reported here are british simply because, for the most part, this is a british site.
It does not mean that those of us who see the reports about other nationalities being killed do not think the same thing as we do here.
