Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, told GMTV: "What matters to me when I get up in the morning is thinking what am I going to do today to help the British people feel safer on the streets. And the Prime Minister and the Chancellor have been focusing quite rightly on the ways to help people going through a difficult economic time."

Does she really expect us to believe this?

It will be interesting to see how many of these so called supportives of Gorden Brown, wil be queuing up to get their names down for his job when he finally steps down.

My guess is that the first in the queue will be, his 'greatest supporter', Harriet Harman.

I don't believe it also.

And I also agree with your last sentence.

I cannot agree when you say (you obviously forgot to actually type it) that sending all the immigrants home will help the British people feel safer on the streets.

You are reading too many Daily Mails Gromit, you are even inventing what I forgot to type.

But eh ! thinking about it, it would be a good start.
I couldn't bear to agree with you AOG, so I made something up that you might say so I could disagree with it.

You don't have to resort to those measures Gromit, old friend.

Just learn to take it on board that I am usually right.

You know it makes sense.

You don't have to make stuff up as well AOG.
Welcome to the world of politics.

AOG, you've pointed out a behaviour that is common to politicians from every political party, of every persuasion, in every country, from any era.

Showing support for the leader whether you feel it or not - it's called 'not getting sacked'.
