Hi all

I run a small tour company (to North West Italy). Another company has asked that we organise some holidays for thier clients.

Can I ask them to agree that if they stop using use then they will not run thier own trip to this part of Italy

The reason I ask it that they could simply see how we do thing and copy our methods.

A lawer mate of mine said it would be against competition law - so what is to stop this other company stealing our methods after they have been with us

Many thanks

Ali

Ali,

Very difficult to enforce as there is no control over them doing it anyway i.e. booking a coach and hotels etc.

If they wanted to find out they could just pose as a client anyway and steal it. If they tried to book the same hotels, visit the same places and pass off as you then thats different but in reality very difficult to prove / fight.
