so the 16 year old,shakilus townsend was a knife gang member,died crying out for his mother.....tough.....live by the sword die by the sword i say....it would have just been a matter of time before HE had killed someone.good riddance to bad rubbish..................

Sorry....I might have jumped to an invalid conclusion...I assumed from the posts that this was a gang member, but I've just been to the Guardian and Telegraph websites, and can't find anything suggesting that.
Initial reports suggests that he was lured into the attack after making a pass at one of his attackers girlfriends (speculation at this point).
Were you similarly happy when Ben Kinsella (brother of Eastenders actress) was murdered?
When you see stories of murdered children on the news, are you happy? Does it make you smile?

It should not be "Hey, let's crack open the champers...there's one less gang member on the street".

Britain is going to have to get used to more and more and more news like this. It is here to stay. The tribes of Africa are turning Britain's inner-city streets into a jungle. There is no solution - how can you lock up so many thousands of yoofs for 5 years each?

and what about the mother of say,another ben kinsella?who was never a member of any gang,who was an innocent member of the public targetted,by someone who was carrying a knffe....i do not revel in any childs death and lets remember that is exactly what they are...children.you adopt the ''hug a hoody'' attitude sp1418 well i have news for you it doesnt work....they will only stab you in the back...in more ways than 1..these gangs that roam the streets have created an ''us and them'' situation...would you walk down a suburban street late at night feeling safe?no you would not so therefore IT IS an ''us and them'' scenario.it is a kill or be killed attitude and im afraid its people with attitudes like yours who treat these killers with kid gloves that will make the streets no go areas for decent,law abiding citizens.

Gangs have to be tackled head on. If you do nothing except cheer when a gang member is killed, nothing will change and more and more innocent kids will be murdered.

sp1814, you are a bit of a joke. These are overwhelmingly black kids killing other black kids. It is the WAY THEY ARE. It has nothing to do with policing or imprisonment any more. I say again, it is the jungle on the streets. Maybe we should import experts from all those countries which have successfully mastered the phenomenon, e.g. Jamaica, Zimbabwe. Let them get on with it, because there is no police force on earth to stop it.
