In the near future, we will not go to stores like Woolworths to buy DVDs we will download our films on-line from the likes of iTunes.

Just as the decline of CD sales has followed the downloading of music, the same is about to happen with movies.

Personally, I think Woolworths is an awful store and I will not miss it, but will you?

I get all my CDs and DVDs off play.com. Everything is cheaper than Woolies, HMV, Virgin etc and there is no delivery charge. Otherwise I download onto itunes off limewire.

I buy books from play.com as well. A lot cheaper than Waterstones etc.

I'm sure these stores will become obsolete in the very near future.
Why would you buy a DVD if you can rent one cheaper?

Surely the answer to this question is largely the answer to yours
To widen out the picture a little will any high street store be able to compete with the internet purchases. I noticed over Xmas that many stores have reduced profits because of the competition. We may be forced to get our stuff over the internet if this process carries on.
Maybe in twenty years time there won't be any shops everything will be bought over the internet. All there will be are hairdressers ,beauty salons etc
I also purchase everything off play.com

alternatively you could buy yourself a dvd writer and have a field day at blockbusters
