your question comes with an obvious bias so i will treat it with the distain it deserves
with regard to the regional aspect, your examples of beheading and flogging, care to examine how jolly an electric chair is, or indeed what has been going on in american detention centres for the last few years?, invading countries, bombing civillians?, has that not been carried out by those diabolical christian folks? wait a minute, i'm christian!
just because some countries and individuals behave in a certain fashion (and yes corporal punishment and terrorist bombings are barbaric) you cannot label all who follow the religon as such, muslims in this country generally abide by the rules of this country and live in peace and do not support chopping peoples heads off. the irony of course is the average mail reader would bring back hanging in a heart beat, of course breaking a neck is far nicer than chopping it through, i mean your head doesn't roll around for start, when you're, ermmm dead :s

Whether the video is real or not, does not detract from the fact Islam is an evil religion.
Unlike the idiots on here I have actually visited many muslim countries.
I have seen with my very own eyes beheadings, hangings, ritual murders. I have interviewed a gay man who had a hot poker rammed up his anus for having anal sex with a person over 13. Under 13 is acceptable!!!!!!!
I have seen a man whose story was that he was forced to eat his childrens eyes as they refused to give testimony at a religious court.
These are real things so the fact a child may or may not have had his arm broken for theft is fairly minor in comparasion.
But just look at my moan thread below. People in this country accept islam as normal. White Brits think I am a racist!!!
I hate no race. But I despise islam with a passion. Why does this evoke a picture of me as a far right Hitler?

What I will never understand is that unquestionably there are some extremes of violence in religion and that has never been condoned but if you mention that christianity has a lot to answer for in the past with regards to it's own violence or point out that this extreme part of the faith is not practiced by every other muslim you are suddenly an Islam apologist.
It would like saying that every christian is quite up for stoning a woman to death for adultery or enslaving savages.. It just doesn't work like that.

Apart from all that Wako business a few years ago, name a Christian atrocity since the Empire went in to Africa.
But even Wako was full of clinically mad people.
These wretched muslims are not mad, they are a normal part of society both here and abroad. I believe one was even a dentist or a doctor in the Glasgow airport attempted murder.
As a Christian, I am fully aware there have been murders etc but things move on.
The average Christian does not preach hate do they. The average muslim does!!!
