A Director of Barclaycard was force to resign from his job for making the following statement, it was deemed as offensive to Muslims.

Mr Howells said: "The results were like Muslims - some were good, some were Shi'ite".

Was this racist, or just another example of pandering to Muslim sensibilities?

This is a hot potatoe but here goes.....

I think he is guilty and probably has done the right thing being that it is a big bank that does not want to attract negative press,

saying my thoughts out loud he is guilty of airing a joke/comment which should have been private between friends not a business meeting discussion.......

the above comment may attract a further dicussion but I am only saying what happens in my circle of friends at work and at rest and am sure it works both ways ........

Even better British weather is like muslims its either sunni or Shi'ite!!!!!!!!!!!!!
