Hi emstown,
Have you joined an m.e association? as they do support groups and those are always helpful.

Hi ems, where in the country are you from ? I've had ME for about 15 years, and would like to help / advise you on how to best deal with it x x
That is the whole point of support groups and meetings. You meet the same people. Possibly the same age. All with the same diagnosis. You'll all be different, but tips are always useful from real people.

Out of interest. I take a drug called Modafinil. I was originally taking Amatadine but they weren't strong enough.

Would those work for your m.e fatigue?

Here's something for everyone on here who's suffering with ME. Have a look at "Mickel Therapy" - you'll find it online, and the therapists can help you over the phone if you can't get to them. It's a drug-free treatment that has helped a lot of people, including a good friend of mine who has since trained as a therapist. I won't tell you her name, because you may think I'm just pushing work her way, but what I WILL say, is that she had chronic ME for a very long time. At one point, she stayed in bed for nearly two years, and friends went round to feed her and wash her hair. Since discovering this therapy, she is living A NORMAL LIFE again, which is completely amazing. Please look into it, and GOOD LUCK! xx
