Obese woman on train this morning wearing one of those corset belts... you know the ones you put around your waist to accentuate the waist line?

For fat people it doesn't have the affect, it just draws attention to the fact she had 3 guts and looks alwful!...so how should we go about preventing fat people wearing these belts?
Is it the shops assistants responsibility not to sell them to fatties in the first place or are the commuters responsible to tell them "actually love it just draws attention to the fact you're the size of 2 people"

How can we stop this hidious fattie fashion?!

I thought they were for larger people though to help them look smaller????

confused dot com :-(
You could just avert your eyes.

That is what I do when I see a hideously skinny person in even more hideous 'skinny' jeans ;o)
LMAO
River was it a belt, or a full size corset which just looked like a belt on this person due to her size?

haha no it was a belt and she was standing right in front of me so I was eye level with her 2nd gut.

I agree Pippa there is nothing worse than a seriously skinny person although skinny jean are flattering on a size 12...I should know I'm wearing them today they give shape! :o )

Dove...this is your slave speaking haha! personally I think they are meant for people who are no bigger than a 14 but thats personal opinion people!
What do you mean by seriously skinny river? I'm a size 8 is that too skinny in your opinion? I have a pair of skinny jeans that cost me 70.00 but I have to admit they are in the wardrobe where they have been for several months as I haven't got the courage to actually wear them.lol.
:o(
I can't wear skinny jeans; even after liposuction which was agony, I still look like a berk in them.
Just popped in to get my coat .....

Hi Bigmamma :o )

daffy654 size 8 isn't really skinny if you're in proportion and happy with it, I'm talking size 0...that I just dont get why do that to your self?
now i aint gonna get all righteous about this (specially as i cant spell it) but i think people should wear whatever they want without the need to feel that people are critisising them for it.
Irony;
the thing you do after washingy and dryingy.

but should people be allowed to wear what they want?

Say a bloke you work with wanted to wear skinny fit jeans to work and a string vest and he works in customer services...is that acceptable?

And what if a young teenager wants to wear a seriously short mini skirt, is that acceptable?

Where do you draw the line?
Many years ago, as a joke, I had some custom sticky-tabs made for my wife to give out as Christmas gifts at a fashion house. It said (as best I recall now)

...Fashion Police Citation...

You have been issued this citation because:

_The trousers you are wearing are so tight you can hear the fabric around your thighs screaming

_Your chosen colour scheme is in such conflict weve contacted the U.N.

_You may be impressed with your display of flaccid bust, but anyone other than a nursing baby isnt

_When you colour your hair its supposed to be all the way, not just dipping the tips in a bowl.

_Maternity outfits are designed for pregnant women, not for women who consume too many kebabs and sticky buns.

And there was a tiny space for them to fill in an ad hoc offence.

From what I understand, the staff all had fun with the post it notes as it let their cattiness towards one another escape in a sense of fun.

But after I made them, I began to worry a bit whether any of them used the citations in public. I hope not.

I know the image of the belt scenario you speak of. We have clergy who use their cinctures to achieve the same goals. Truly tacky! Perhaps the womans belt was just a matter of her acting out latent desires to be a labourer and wear a hefty tool belt.

thats different if you are responsible for the appearance of your eymployees and they are required to wear a uniform or have a dress code then so be it but average joe in a position or job where that is not a requirement should still be able to wear wat they like
sorry didnt read the rest of your reply
i would never let my children wear skimpy clothes whilst they are at home once they are old ehough to be responsible for themselves 18+ then they can do wat they like but i think im digressing slightly.
long an short of it is people should be able to wear wat they like if your work position requires you to be presentable then so be it but in yr private life anything goes
*Pippa asks for someone to tell river tha skinny jeans make everyone look like a berk*
well, pip, they sure as hell make me look like one
River I don't think you need to be so offensive, do you not think that some people might not like looking at you? You must be pretty self-aware to be so concerned with what other people look like.

I agree that some clothes flatter and some clothes make some people look bigger / smaller / taller / shorter but who are you to judge? i'd like to see Misca and Lisa give you a run for your money. That's the sad thing about AB you can't see what the other person really looks like. Skinny jeans.... ha!
thats what I thought too nat, maybe using the word larger might have helped the post, as I;m sure we all look at people and think my god as I do when the youngsters where size 6 jeans down the pub when they are a 12 resulting in muffin tops. But hey river we arent all perfect.
